Catholic Schools Day

In the morning at school we all saw the buses come and it was for Catholic Schools Day on Tuesday. We were excited because children were coming from two schools, like St Pius and St Ignatius.
We went to Mass and it was a long time but I liked the singing. When we came back to school it was raining but we ate our lunch inside. We couldn't play games with the other schools and they went home. Then we did fun things in our class.

Tika, Pono, Aroha.

We have been learning about how Jesus respected the tapu (sacredness) of people.
Jesus saw a Samaritan woman at a well where you water. He asked her for some water. She gave him some but she wasn't allowed to because he was jewish.
I can show aroha (love) when I look after Joyla when she was crying.

All About Me!

Talofa lava. My name is Upu and I am 8 years old. My Teacher’s name is Ms Agnew. I am in Year 4 at St Patrick’s School in Panmure. And I have two brothers and three sisters. I am Samoan and I have visited Samoa too. I speak Samoan at home with my family. I am good at Jump Jam because I know all the moves and words to the songs. I also get stickers from Mrs George for being so good at it. For me I find it hard to do Maths.  My cousin Leka inspires me to be kind and caring to other people because she is like that to me. She shows me how to play with her Tablet. I would like to be better at my reading. Please read my blog.

Kindness

Yesterday we talked about kindness and we watched a video about Oat the goat...it was fun!
I will be kind by using nice words and being a good friend.
